SOSIALISASI BAHAYA GEMPA BUMI DAN TSUNAMI SERTA AKSI BERSIH PANTAI BANDA NAIRA SEBAGAI UPAYA MENDUKUNG DESA PARIWISATA PULAU BANDA

Abstrak

Earthquakes are natural disasters with high potential resulting in large casualties and material losses The implementation of PkM through socialization on Banda Neira Island aims to educate the public about disaster mitigation including awareness and improvement of the ability to deal with disaster threats and physical development as an effort to reduce disaster risk. This program will be held in November 2025 at SMA Negeri 30 Central Maluku, Banda Island. The results of the program were in the form of self-rescue education when an earthquake occurred, simple earthquake-resistant construction and providing information on the principles of construction of one-story houses and technical things that must be done to build earthquake-resistant houses. The results showed that participants gained a better understanding of disaster mitigation and showed high enthusiasm during the question and answer session. In addition, participants also received practical information about the construction of earthquake-resistant buildings that can be applied in daily life. This result is important because it can improve community preparedness and become the basis for sustainable disaster risk reduction efforts. Thus, this activity shows that disaster education and understanding of earthquake-resistant construction is a strategic step to minimize the impact of disasters in earthquake-prone areas and strengthen the resilience of local communities in a real, effective, and sustainable manner in the long term
