POTENSI PENGEMBANGAN USAHA BUDIDAYA IKAN DI KOTA AMBON

Abstrak
Maluku Province is an archipelago that has great fisheries potential, one of which is Ambon City, which is one of the areas that has the potential to develop mariculture. The fisheries sector contributes greatly to the economy by increasing community income, employment opportunities and business opportunities. Various touches of cultivation technology need to be applied so that there is business sustainability. The purpose of community service activities is to provide information and increase knowledge about fishery resources and the potential for developing fish farming businesses in Ambon City. This community service activity took place on Friday, February 20, 2023 at the State Vocational High School 8 Kilang with several stages of activities including the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. The learning method is interactive. Aquaculture activities in the waters of Ambon Bay are dominated by fish enlargement businesses carried out by applying floating net cage system technology (KJA). The results obtained by students got the highest score (100%) and the lowest (90.24%) compared to the initial test. This shows that there is a change in the increase in students' understanding and knowledge of the material provided. The conclusion is that the provision of material is very helpful for students to understand the potential for developing fish farming businesses in Ambon City with increased student knowledge and understanding.
