Daur Ulang Sampah Plastik Menggunakan Ecobricks Menjadi Barang Yang Bernilai Ekonomis Guna Meningkatkan Kesadaran Siswa Mengenai Lingkungan Di Desa Tanah Rata, Banda, Maluku Tengah

Abstrak

The 3T (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged) regions in Indonesia, including Banda Naira in Maluku, face major challenges in education, especially in access to quality education and awareness of environmental issues. The community service program by the Jejak Muda Indonesia Community at SMP 87 Central Maluku focuses on education based on the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) through Eco School activities. This program involves environmental socialization, plastic waste recycling practices into ecobricks, and interactive learning to increase students' awareness of the importance of waste management. Field research methods are used to understand the effectiveness of the program in creating sustainable change in local communities. The results of the program show an increase in students' awareness of environmental issues and active involvement in creative solutions, such as making benches from used bottles. With a contextual education approach, this program has succeeded in instilling values ​​of environmental care and social responsibility from an early age, which is expected to create a domino effect in society. Periodic evaluation and further program development are recommendations to ensure the sustainability of the positive impact of this program.
