PELATIHAN DAN PENDAMPINGAN PRODUKSI GULA SEMUT SEBAGAI INOVASI PRODUK TURUNAN GULA AREN DI DESA ETI, SERAM BAGIAN BARAT

Abstrak
This community service activity aims to improve the skills of the residents of Eti Village, West Seram Regency, in processing palm sugar into ant sugar products as an innovative derivative product with added economic value. The implementation methods of the activity include training, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and production assistance conducted participatively. The evaluation of the activity's success was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, as well as pre-tests and post-tests for training participants with indicators of production, processing, packaging, and marketing skills. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in participants' skills. Participants have been able to produce ant sugar independently with better quality compared to traditional palm sugar products. This activity also increased the community's motivation to develop businesses based on local potential. The advantage of the activity lies in the abundant availability of raw materials, simple production methods, and high community participation. However, there are still limitations in terms of production equipment, packaging, and marketing. This activity is effective in improving community skills and has the potential to be developed as a leading village MSME business. This activity is recommended to be continued through ongoing mentoring.
