PENDIDIKAN TANPA BATAS: MENGENAL LEBIH DEKAT PRODI PENDIDIKAN LUAR SEKOLAH

Abstrak

This community service activity, organized by the Department of Nonformal Education at Universitas Pattimura, aimed to introduce the study program to students at SMA Negeri 65 Maluku Tengah and to enhance their understanding of nonformal education. The activity was conducted in response to students’ limited knowledge regarding the scope, roles, and career prospects of Nonformal Education graduates. The activity employed educational and participatory socialization methods, including material presentations, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The materials delivered covered the fundamental concepts of nonformal education, lifelong learning, community-based education, as well as the graduate profile and career opportunities of the Nonformal Education program.

The results demonstrated an improvement in students’ understanding of the importance of nonformal education and the role of Nonformal Education in community empowerment and human resource development. Furthermore, students showed enthusiasm and active participation throughout the activity, particularly during discussions and question-and-answer sessions. Overall, this community service initiative contributed to broadening students’ perspectives on educational pathways beyond formal schooling and raising their awareness of the significance of lifelong learning in society.
