Pemberdayaan Majelis Taklim Melalui Keterampilan Tataboga Di Dusun Limboru Negeri Luhu Kecamatan Huamual Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat

Abstrak

The empowerment of the Majelis Taklim in Dusun Limboru was motivated by the lack of innovation among housewives in transforming local ingredients into food products with unique flavors. The limited creativity and innovation among the Majelis Taklim members encouraged the team to carry out this community service program. The aim of this program was to improve culinary skills and to encourage innovation in utilizing local natural resources into value-added food products. The activity was implemented in several stages, including: (1) Activity planning: initiated with preliminary observation and analysis of community learning needs; (2) Implementation: the activity was carried out in one day, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM Eastern Indonesia Time (WIT) until completion. It was divided into two sessions—first, a material session providing information about tools and ingredients; and second, a hands-on session where participants practiced making "tar petatas" (sweet potato tart) and "bangket sagu" (sago cookies); (3) Sustainability plan: the formation of a joint business group for the Majelis Taklim members. This community engagement initiative successfully improved the participants’ skills in processing local resources into marketable food products. The perceived impacts included increased self-confidence among Majelis Taklim women to pursue entrepreneurship, a strengthened spirit of cooperation and collaboration among participants, and the emergence of locally produced food that could serve as regional souvenirs.
