PENGUATAN LITERASI PENDIDIKAN ORANG DEWASA MELALUI SOSIALISASI PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN LUAR SEKOLAH BAGI SISWA SMA NEGERI 6 MALUKU TENGAH

Abstrak

This community service activity aimed to strengthen literacy on Adult Education through the socialization of the Nonformal Education Study Program for students of SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah. The activity was motivated by the limited understanding of teachers and students regarding the concept of adult education (andragogy), lifelong learning, and the opportunities offered by the Nonformal Education Study Program. The methods used in this activity consisted of preparation, socialization, discussion, evaluation, and reporting stages. The implementation involved 35 participants consisting of teachers and students through presentations, interactive discussions, and demonstrations of andragogical learning strategies. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants understanding of the differences between pedagogy and andragogy, the principles of adult learning, and the relevance of lifelong education in social life. In addition, students gained broader insight into the prospects and career opportunities in the field of Nonformal Education. The activity also received positive responses from participants, indicating that the socialization program was effective in improving educational awareness and encouraging more student-centered learning approaches. Therefore, this community service activity contributed to strengthening public understanding of adult education and supporting the development of human resources in Maluku Tengah.
